Two legal scholars addressed the issue of a Constitutional crisis within the United States during ���dzԹ���’s annual Constitution Day Debate on Sept. 18, taking sides on whether such a crisis exists and answering questions from the audience gathered in ���dzԹ��� Memorial Chapel. 

This summer, 19 ���dzԹ��� Upstate Institute Field School Fellows partnered with community organizations in and around Hamilton and the Adirondacks to pursue research projects that directly addressed a need or issue identified by the community partner organization.

Jonathan Turley, the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of public interest law at George Washington University, and Michael Klarman, the Charles Warren Professor of legal history at Harvard Law School, will debate “Is There a Constitutional Crisis? How Would We Know?”

In King: A Life, author Jonathan Eig focuses on Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of faith-based radicalism. During his Feb. 11 lecture at ���dzԹ���, Beyond The Dream: Embracing a More Complicated Martin Luther King, Eig said he believes King would be horrified at how his activism and writings have been overshadowed by a modern, more palatable version of the civil rights leader.

Senior Bryan (Tai) Pham has been awarded his second consecutive Best Delegate in a Special Role award by fellow students at EuroSim 2025 for his role as chair of the EU Environmental Council. This year’s program focused on the European Green Deal and negotiating legislation aimed at reducing microplastic pollution.
