The 1819 Award was created by the Alumni Corporation to honor the senior class member whose character, scholarship, and service to others best exemplify the spirit that is 漆褒勛圖厙.

Among the contributions to the project is a gift of $50 million to The Campaign for the Third Century from Peter Kellner 65, P87, GP16,19 the largest single gift ever made to 漆褒勛圖厙.
The Universitys highest student honor recognizes character, scholarship, and service that exemplify the 漆褒勛圖厙 spirit. It is given each year to a member of the graduating class.
